In our online women's bible study, while moving through the psalm 139 studies, we find this scripture. We hope to share how wonderfully designed we are as Christian women. The great value we hold in the family and the world around us.

"For you did form my inward parts, you did knit me together in my mother's womb.
I will confess and praise you, for you are fearfully wonderful, and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are your works, and that my inner self knows right well,
My frame was not hidden from You, when I was being formed in secret and intricately and curiously wrought (as if embroidered with various colors) in the depths of the earth (a region of darkness and mystery)
Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in your book all the days of my life were written, before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. How precious and weighty also are your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

Psalm 139:13-17 AMP

The Role of Christian Women

The voices of many Christian women question the role of women today. And perhaps you, too, are searching for your identity. What are you (woman) really like as God's custom-designed creation?
You are totally unique, for there is no one like you in the whole wide world!
God will equip you with exactly the right abilities that you need for every responsibility and opportunity that He gives.
You are given the rich expressive treasure of emotions. But they will need to be guarded, not allowed to rule over you.
You delight in the flame of sunset across a twilight sky.
You delight in the harmony of music, poetry and art.
You delight in all that is creative and colors.
You are graceful and intuitive, with long and deep needs.

Man has never lived who can fully understand and meet the quickly changing needs of a woman's life. If he could, we would be bored to tears.

A woman's world is a world of people. A child cries in the night and you rise to respond. You have the ability to recognize and react to people and their needs. A woman's thoughts are definite, fine details with many practical solutions to issues. But they may be colored by feelings rather than fact, for a woman often thinks in terms of emotions and feelings.

Principle: God gave to each one the ability to perform that which He has ordained. As you and I discover God's basic purpose and design for our lives, we will find the ability to achieve it.

A woman is usually happiest when her world revolves around meeting the needs of real people here and now, while men often prefer toe statistical approach to world wide issues.

House hunting example: A women sees a yard, cute rooms, lovely windows, and space for furniture. Men see the dry rot, bad wiring, walls out of line, etc.
Car hunting: Women see the paint job, extras, and styling. Med see the rust, brakes gone, and muffler wired up.

A husband and wife need to combine their God given talents and abilities to receive the best from God. Not only do women think different than men but their needs are different. Conversation and the opportunity to express emotions and have those emotions accepted while being loved and appreciated, are at the top of the list.

We women need freedom in many ways and yet security and the knowledge that you are needed are important, too. Women especially enjoy being told that they are loved. Men have needs to which is basically the need for admiration, respect and gratitude. These are God-given needs and must be supplied to be fulfilled and made whole.

This is a principle that all married women need to learn. Since you share your emotions, why not share your appreciation and admiration? Even the worst of us have something that can be admired sincerely! Nothing kills communication, co-operation, and consideration, as quickly as criticism and a judgmental attitude.

One of our biggest problems is the misuse of conversation. It is amazing how we lock deep within ourselves the really important things that we feel. The kind impulses that we stifle are badly directed effort to protect ourselves from possible rejection and hurt.

Women have you ever noticed? We develop our own unique code system and feel terribly hurt when it is not properly translated to produce the desired results. Woman react when things go wrong by slamming pots and pans, doors banging, deep sighs, headaches and going to bed. These are many occasions when we send out our messages totally unaware that we are doing so.

Example: A birthday is forgotten, and the coded message to the husband may say, "There is a hamburger in the oven for your dinner. I have a headache and have gone to bed early." Decoded it would read, "You rascal, you don't deserve even a cold hamburger. I would rather cover up my head that to have to see anyone who is so selfish and thoughtless that he would not take me to dinner on my birthday. "

God wants to bring us to a place of security in Him that we lay aside our coded messages and speak openly and honestly in love.

Therefore, rejecting all falsity and done now with it, let every one express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members, one of another.
